The Fourth Hado Instructional School
The Fourth Hado Instructor School in the United States was held in Allamuchy New Jersey at a beautiful spot called The INN at Panther Valley, just about an hour and a half outside of Newark New Jersey. The school was held from June 12 through June 15 with an optional seminar on June 16.
It was an amazing gift to have the opportunity to hold our Fourth Hado Instructor School at such a beautiful location. The grounds were exquisite with little streams, a lake with a beautiful fountain and lots of flora and fauna everywhere. We were surrounded by lush greenery in every direction, and the grounds were home to dozens of beautiful geese, ducks and a magnificent Blue Heron who came to visit. It was just what the spirit in all of us yearned for, being close to nature and water, as we learned more about how our love, respect and gratitude could help to heal mother earth, the water, and ourselves. Through this teaching we would learn how to cultivate more love, peace, gratitude and harmony in ourselves and the planet through the philosophy Dr. Emoto and Hado.

MERGEFORMATINET
The venue for the 4th Hado Instructor school in NJ
The first evening was a student orientation and an introduction to our instructors and translators who had traveled such long distances from Japan and around the world and country to teach us about the principles, philosophy and lifestyle of Hado. Hiro Emoto (Dr. Emoto's son) welcomed us, as did Dr. Emoto and the President of IHM in Japan, Mr. Hirotsugu Hazaka. We received a warm and inviting welcome and smile as we each were given our name badges, text, and schedule for the coming days. In addition, we were each given special gifts that were so thoughtfully prepared for each of us by one of the participating students. Thanks to the hard work of IHM in Japan and the Hado Life team in Los Angeles including all the preparation work by Hiro Emoto and his lovely wife Jayme, along with the event planner and organizer, Kimiko, this beautiful and unique venue for our Hado School was selected and made possible.
During the first evening of orientation, we were each called to the front of the room to introduce ourselves and to give a little information about ourselves, our background, why we were attending the instructor school, and what we hoped to gain from the experience. It was so interesting to see such a diversity of people from many backgrounds and places, but with a common purpose. We had people from many diversified backgrounds and professions including: teaching, healing, computer science, homemaking, interior design, writing, building, medicine (western and eastern), ministry, counseling, hydrology, floral design, spa and wellness centers, public relations, entrepreneurial design and marketing, personal training, and other professions. At this school, we had 27 new students and 6 returning students (representing each of the previous Hado Instructor Schools). We now represent 16 countries and have a total of 116 instructors internationally, outside of Japan. At this Fourth Hado Instructor School, we had students from California to New York and Canada as well. This school was also auspicious as it was the one-year anniversary of the first Hado Instructor School outside of Japan. The First Hado School outside of Japan was held in June of 2005 in Torrance California. We have come a long way since then, and our network of "Comrades for Peace," is growing and becoming stronger. Dr. Emoto is working towards his goal of training 500 instructors. He is hoping to realize the training of a total of 200 instructors within another year. The next Instructor Schools are already scheduled for July in Australia, Mexico in August, and next year there are plans to hold schools in Europe and Singapore.
A common thread that ran through this particular group of students was a keen interest in working with, and helping children to learn how to live better in the world through an understanding of the right use of words and thoughts, and the power for good inherent in this philosophy. In Japanese this philosophy of the power of the word is an ancient one called "The Spirit of the Word," or "Kotadama," in Japanese. Words have the power to heal or to destroy, as proven in Dr. Emoto's research with water crystals. It is now our responsibility and mission as instructors, to spread the news and live as examples of this philosophy and its power to heal the planet and its people. This common thread running through our group, despite our many different backgrounds, was very inspirational. One of Dr. Emoto's missions is to bring this message to the children around the world. Dr. Emoto declared this mission in his keynote speech at the United Nations on May 26, 2005. It is easy to see that many of the instructors share his vision.
We all had our photos taken with Dr. Emoto that evening for use in our graduation certificates. These photos would also be used later in conjunction with the Hado Scan machine to measure our Hado, and then imprint our water with our own personal healing frequencies to be given out to each of us at the end of the school. There was a lot of excitement in the air and anticipation of what the next few days would bring. We all went to bed that evening feeling enthusiastic and excited about what the morning and coming days would bring.
After our delicious breakfast catered by the hotel, Dr Emoto greeted us the morning of the second day of school with a typical roll call as principal, and then began his lecture. Dr. Emoto's lecture was inspiring and intriguing as he recounted his life experience and story to us in detail. The purpose of telling us this story was to give us a better understanding of how he had come to be the carrier of this message and mission, and what it took to get there. I believe we were all encouraged to hear that Dr. Emoto, like many of us, has had many difficulties and challenges to overcome in his life. Through his persistent and tenacious effort, dedication, faith and conviction, he has been able to realize his dream, despite any challenges he may have encountered along the way. He continues to carry on his mission, true to his purpose. This is an important message for many of us, because, being in this field is sometimes not easy. Not everyone understands or accepts the message we are trying to spread. In a sense, we are soldiers for peace and our weapons are not firearms, but rather the vibrations of Love and Gratitude and the message of Peace, which can and will be the healing force on the planet. I believe many of the students were deeply touched by Dr. Emoto's willingness to share such a personal and intimate part of himself, and his life with us. As we listened attentively to Dr. Emoto's interesting and inspiring story, his integrity and authenticity shown brightly. Dr. Emoto's special blend of humor also livens up any lecture and we are often moved from deep contemplation and concentration to laughter in a moment, as he shares with his unique style of seriousness and humor.
Dr. Emoto's class
After a short break, many of us took advantage of walking around our beautiful grounds, relaxing and conversing with one another. When we returned from our break, Dr. Emoto began his important lecture on "What is Hado." Hado means "wave" and "move". "It is the intrinsic vibrational pattern at the atomic level in all matter. The smallest unit of energy. Its basis is the energy of human consciousness." The basis of Hado philosophy is that thoughts and feelings affect physical reality. By producing different Hado-Vibration through written and spoken words, as well as music, pictures, prayers and even thoughts, and presenting it to water samples, the water appears to change its expression. This principle translates to human beings as well, as we are 70-80% water, and also to our planet, which is mostly water. This principle is exquisitely expressed through Dr. Emoto's experiments and photographs of water crystals. As this principle gains acceptance and expression in society and the world, we can begin to make serious changes for the better for our planet, and ourselves. This is the mission of Dr. Emoto, and the instructors, who are going forth to spread his message. Dr. Emoto's lecture this morning also consisted of relating the philosophy, principles and lifestyle of Hado. The essence of the philosophy of Hado is that water holds the potential to create peace on earth. Dr. Emoto and many of his readers believe by holding the intention of peace towards water - by thinking, speaking and acting with the intention of peace toward water - water can and will bring peace to our bodies and to the world. Dr. Emoto spoke as he used the visual aid of a slide presentation featuring 500 slides, which are presented to the students upon graduation. Dr. Emoto's lecture spoke about the fundamental principle of Hado, which is that Love & Thanks is the vibration of true healing. That vibration is life. Dr. Emoto spoke about the law of vibration, which has several basic principles. Those principles are "'Resonance' everything stems relative to the theory of resonance; 'Purity' the effectiveness of energy is determined by its purity; 'Law of Similarity' the science of the 12 notes of the piano. The purpose of human beings is to be the conductor to all things and to the universe, 'Shape' the meaning that is represented in the hexagonal crystal formation. The relationship between different shapes and forms (i.e. pyramid shaped crystal form vs. a cube shaped form)."
The class then broke for a lunch break, catered by the hotel and enjoyed by all. We had the opportunity to eat outside enjoying the perfect weather and gorgeous surroundings, conversing with each other, or just relaxing and reflecting on what we had just learned from Dr. Emoto. It was very convenient and lovely to have such a relaxing atmosphere in which to learn and have our meals. I believe we all felt very well taken care of by our wonderful hosts.
After lunch, there was a presentation and introduction to the Hado measuring device by Akihiro Otake. His lecture included: "the history of the Hado measuring device, the fundamental principle and mechanism of the Hado measuring device, introduction to several varieties of Hado measuring devices." One of the important points expressed by Mr. Otake in his lecture was that every organ in the body has a vibration. The Hado machines are able to measure this vibration, thus, they are able to detect an organ where there is harmony or disharmony through the detection of its vibration. This vibration is the life force of that organ. Mr. Otake also spoke about the fact that everything in the body takes in, and builds up light and light is the distributor of all information. Electricity stores this information and water stores electricity. Thus, water stores, memorizes and distributes information/light. This is the basic principle of homeopathy and the similar way in which homeopathy and the Hado imprinting devices work. Their similarity is their ability to use water as a means of holding, storing and distributing information. The purpose of the Hado machines is to be able to imprint these balancing frequencies (personal to each individual's particular need), into the water and into us through the water, assisting to harmonize our vibrational frequencies and our body and its many systems.
The next presenter was Dr. Yasuyuki Nemoto who spoke about the "Project of Love and Thanks to Water" and also lectured on "Pranic Healing." For more about the "Project of Love and Thanks to Water," please visit the web site address: www.thank-water.net/english/index.html.
The purpose of the "Project of Love and Thanks to Water," is to have a global event, a "World Day of Love & Thanks to Water." "We have a vision that on this day, our Earth will be filled with beautiful golden/silver light of Love and Thanks that is flowing from the hearts of each and every one of us. Golden/silver light is the highest vibration in the range of visible light, and it will heal and cleanse all the water on earth, be it water of the ocean or that of our own body."
This is the fourth annual event of this kind and this year it will be held twice. The first in Lichtenstein on July 23rd, and the second to take place on July 25th by the Sea of Galilee in Israel.
Dr. Nemoto's lecture on Pranic Healing was very intriguing and interesting, leaving us curious for more information about it. Through my own personal experience with this healing modality, I am convinced this additional tool called "Pranic Healing," is a valuable healing tool which can be successfully utilized in the healing professions. I am very grateful and appreciative to Dr. Nemoto for sharing and introducing us to this valuable information and healing tool.
Our lecture with Dr. Nemoto concluded with a beautiful prayer outside at the lake in the center of our venue grounds, where we all prayed together out loud the "Great Invocation Prayer for Peace" to the water. We repeated each sentence three times: "water we love you, water we thank you, water we respect you," followed by a new addition to the prayer by Dr. Nemoto: "mother earth we love you, mother earth we thank you, mother earth we respect you." Following this prayer, we joined together in silent prayer, which was followed by spontaneous prayers said aloud by several of the participants. The ceremony was concluded with a beautiful flute serenade by one of our students. It was a very moving and touching ceremony and left everyone speechless with just an overwhelming feeling of abundant love, gratitude and respect for water, mother earth and each other. It was a beautiful and magnificent way to end the day and quite memorable.
Water blessing ceremony at pond
With our minds and hearts full with new ideas and feelings, we finished our second day of Hado School. Some of us headed off for a quiet dinner and early lights out, while others gathered together at various restaurants. Others congregated together on the beautiful grounds for late night talks in the gazebo or walks along the beautiful walking paths at the Inn. The beautiful grounds and natural surroundings were very conducive to enjoying the warm summer evening and each other's company.
Dr. Emoto concluded the morning program with Part II of his presentation on "What is Hado." The lecture included discussion on such things as: "differences between modern day (Western) medicine and vibrational medicine, definition of diseases and injuries as viewed through the lenses of Hado theory, variety of energies that function in the elementary particle world, three key words to alter any circumstance: water, music, and consciousness, water is an 'information messenger,' good music is not just great art, it heals." Dr. Emoto explained in further detail about how the crystal photos were taken and about the world of Hado. We were even treated to a singing demonstration and lesson by Dr. Emoto. We all practiced our musical abilities, as Dr. demonstrated to us the idea of resonance through the vibration of sound in an experiment done with tuning forks. We all practiced the 12 notes of the piano, which relate to theories of sound, vibration and healing.
After our lovely lunch break with continued great weather and food, good company and good Hado, we resumed our lecture series with a lecture by Mr. Hirotsugu Hazaka on "Methods of Using Crystal Design and a Prelude to Hado Industry." It was so beautiful to see the ice crystal formations formed by beautiful words, and thoughts, pictures and music as well as how this philosophy could be used to create products that would express this philosophy and enhance our life experience. Mr. Hazaka used a creative approach to emphasize how positive thinking, positive goal setting and destiny or dreams do come into existence when one does not give up faith, passion, focus and commitment.
Mr. Hazaka's class
Mr. Hazaka covered such topics as: "Design of life and crystals, Intentions really do come to fruition, Great crystal design is born when good emotions resonate, To live in the NOW, Trademark, Copy Right, and User Rights issues, A prelude to Hado industry, and Method of using crystal design." The remainder of the lecture was on the topic of copyright and right of use - how the pictures or Dr. Emoto's name and his work can be utilized in marketing, PR, seminars and presentations. Many visual representations of products that could be created, licensed and manufactured were presented which created a lot of excitement and enthusiasm from the participants. In fact, one of our students has already successfully embarked on a product design and manufacturing project which you will soon be able to buy for yourself, or as a beautiful gift for someone. We were able to view this product and were left stunned by the beauty of incorporating the ice crystal image into this new product's design. Mr. Hazaka's presentation left us with the idea and feeling that there seems to be an endless supply of possibilities and ways in which the Hado pictures and work can be utilized, in a positive way, in product manufacture and through the dissemination of this information in a variety of forums and formats.
After the afternoon lectures ended on Wednesday afternoon, we all scurried off to our rooms quickly, to prepare for a well deserved, and eagerly anticipated evening of good food, new friends, fun and laughter. Our Hado party was arranged by Kimiko at the lovely Waterloo Village. We were being blessed with a light rain that evening, but that did not dampen anyone's spirit. Waterloo Village is a beautiful vacation spot built around a historical old town with lots of charm and beauty, and our venue was in a protected outdoor area surrounded by the lushness of the green vegetation everywhere. It was a very festive venue and everyone seemed in good spirits as we all gathered, exchanged ideas and thoughts about our recent training, as well as, just spent time getting to know one another better. It was fun to have an evening of just relaxing and enjoying the company of each other. The food was delicious and the overall ambience lovely. One of the highlights of the evening was when the returning students each shared with us their personal experiences since graduating from their Hado Instructor Schools. Each returning student had an opportunity to come to the microphone to share his or her journey since graduation. We had seven returning students, and at least one or two from each of the previous graduating classes. It was so interesting to hear all the various ways that the instructors had been putting their knowledge, creativity and inspiration to work in spreading the knowledge and vibration of Hado. The venue was very quiet as everyone listened intently and earnestly, as each instructor spoke from the heart about his or her experiences and their plans for continuing the Hado work and message. I believe it was very inspirational to all who were there. The fun continued as prizes were raffled off to the winners of several cleverly constructed questions surrounding our lectures over the previous days. Even our lovely host donated a prize just to keep the game and the fun going. By the end of the evening, everyone was full of good food, good Hado and ready for a good nights sleep. It was a fun filled evening and one to remember.
Thursday was our fourth day of Hado Instructor School and perfect timing for a change in pace and some time to recharge ourselves. The morning began with Reverend Matsumura leading us in a meditation exercise known as Zazen. In Japanese, the word literally means 'sitting Zen' or 'sitting concentration'. The Zazen meditation was lead by Munetetsu Matsumura Hoin (A Mikkyo or Shugendo Priest) who patiently taught all the students the correct sitting posture, breathing technique and about what to do with the mind during the meditation. In Zazen, one strives to bring one's attention to the present moment through the awareness of one's posture, breathing and state of mind. The goal in Zen practice is to practice being fully engaged in our essential being. The Zazen meditation was held with the chairs and tables cleared away, and each student sitting on a towel on the floor in a lotus or half-lotus position. During the meditation, Reverend Matsumura was busy administering the "Kyosaku" (which is a blow on the shoulder with a light stick carried by a Zen priest during meditation). The blow is given during the meditation session, when one feels himself becoming drowsy or is having difficulty concentrating. Kyosaku is given only to those meditators who request it. It is not painful, and is very beneficial in clearing the mind and in making meditation more meaningful. This is where one receives a light but firm hit between the shoulder blades as he or she bows forward. This is a common practice during a Zazen, and this is practiced, so that any distraction in the mind can be eradicated.
Zazen Meditation
Following the meditation facilitated by Reverend Matsumura, he lectured to us on the "Essence of Japanese Mind and Zen." The students really enjoyed the lecture and the perspective of Reverend Matsumura. Everyone listened intently and reverently as Reverend Matsumura spoke about such things as the Buddhist's spiritual path called the "Eight Noble Path," including, "Correct Thinking, Correct Speech, Correct Livelihood, Correct Endeavor, Correct Deliberation, and Correct Meditations." He also spoke about the "Four Noble Truths," "Kutai, Jittai, Mettai, and Dotai."
The morning meditation and lecture by Reverend Matsumura was followed by another short lecture by Dr. Emoto and some very exciting news. Dr. Emoto officially announced that an official International Hado Membership Board had been established. Dr. Peter Slane accepted the appointed position as President and Dr. Kate Vandemoer as Vice President. The purpose of the board would be to establish a network of Hado Instructors, which would be self-governed and run by a board of elected Hado Instructors. Board members for the international organization would be nominated and elected for a period of two years. The board members would consist of one member from each of the Hado Schools and sectional groups would also be created for such topics as: Music, Journalism & Photography, Hado Practitioners, Product Design and Sales, Advertising, Instructor Schools/Seminars, Web Design and Maintenance, and others topics. Dr Emoto announced that IHM would set up a legal organization to protect its instructors so that consultations and treatments could be administered by its instructors to the public. This International Hado Organization would also serve as a database for instructors with IHM's support. There would be membership for both Instructors and an offering for public membership, which would entitle its members to certain privileges such as the most up to date information and newsletters. Through the organization's leadership, we would draw together the Hado Instructors and the public in a unified vision of our mission, and would offer some way in which the public could also contribute to our common purpose. The main ingredients for those wanting membership would be creativity, passion and enthusiasm for the work and mission of the International Hado Organization. This was great news to the Hado Instructors and the message was well received. In response, a yahoo group site for Hado Instructors was immediately set up upon returning home by one of the students. This is greatly helping to facilitate good communication and networking among the instructors. It is working well and an exchange of ideas is already taking place at an accelerated speed with good results. The formal election of board members is set for some time this summer.
Dr. Emoto concluded the lecture with a talk about the "Emoto Project," and the exciting news about IHM's 20-year anniversary to be held in Japan this December 16th. We hope that many of our Hado Instructors can be there to enjoy the celebration and great accomplishments of IHM over the past 20 years, and celebrate the growth of our International Hado Community. These announcements were followed by a Q&A session in which Dr. Emoto graciously and patiently answered many of the questions we had written down for him during various phases of the school lectures. Dr. Emoto then treated us to a preview of the soon to be released English version of his new children's book, which will be ready for distribution very shortly. This is part of a special project called the "Emoto Project," which is a children's version of "Messages from Water," and will be delivered to all children free over the next 10 years, as declared to the United Nations by Dr. Emoto in his keynote address to the UN on May26, 2005. If you would like to be part of this project, we invite you to visit the web site address:

"In fun and interesting ways the research of Dr. Masaru Emoto captures frozen water crystals in photographs that present a glimpse into the mysterious response of water to thoughts, words and pictures. As part of the United Nation's International Decade for Action: Water for Life, Dr. Emoto wishes to share his discoveries about the responsive nature of water with children around the world. Beginning in 2006, a small children's book presenting Dr. Emoto's research from his first book, The Message of Water, will be provided to all the children in the world at no cost within the decade. This effort is called the "EMOTO PROJECT." The quest of the "EMOTO PROJECT" is to share with children a vision for peace in the world, which has been learned through Dr. Emoto's research with water.
The EMOTO PROJECT presents The Message from Water for Children in hopes that this book will play a leading roll in bringing peace to the world.
Why is the EMOTO PROJECT focusing on children?
Children, like water, respond to intention-especially the intention of their primary caregivers: parents, guardians, and teachers.
Children are still close to their water-natures.
In fun and interesting ways-through photographs and illusrations-The Message from Water for Children will teach children how to heal the worlds waters though their thoughts, words and actions. The Messages from Water for Children will also teach the children about their own true nature as water-based beings; hence keeping themselves happy and healthy from childhood, through their teens and into their adulthood by holding reverence for water within their own bodies and for all water on the planet.
This book is not about science-but about this, specific intention:
The intention and mission of the EMOTO PROJECT is for Message from Water for Children to become an international symbol for peace in the world. This peace will be found by utilizing the true power of water to hold intention. The intention of the EMOTO PROJECT is to bring peace on earth by instilling peace in the thoughts words and actions of children around the world
toward water-and by extension toward themselves.
Why does the EMOTO PROJECT want to carry the message of peace from water to all children of the world?
We are in an era where the international community is recognizing that water-related issues needs urgent attention. This can be seen in the fact that the United Nations General Assembly, on December 23, 2003, proclaimed the years 2005 to 2015 as the International Decade for Action: 'Water for Life'.
In step with the International Decade for Action: Water for Life, the EMOTO PROJECT, over the next decade will seek to reach every child on the planet with this message: water is me; water is life; peaceful water means peaceful me means a peaceful
world. In this way, children around the world-raised in tune with the sacred nature of themselves as water beings and the
sacred nature of every drop of water-will bring peace to the world.

Since many of the students had expressed a keen interest in helping and teaching children over the course of the Hado Instructor School, information on the "Emoto Project," held special interest and value to the students. I believe many of the new instructors will take what they have learned from this Instructor School, go out to teach and help the children using Dr. Emoto's philosophy of Love, Thanks, and Respect for Water. It is ultimately through the children that we can begin to change and heal our planet and ourselves, for the children are the future.
Following Dr. Emoto's lecture, Reverend Matsumera facilitated a formal Japanese style tea ceremony where we were all treated with the specially prepared green tea and Japanese sweets. Jayme Emoto graciously served each of us in her beautiful Kimono and radiant smile and we all relaxed into the moment, enjoying our tea and each other. One of our students proposed a special prayer to water with the assistance of Reverend Matsumura, which was a very special addition to our ceremony and great way to end the day. We each held our water and sent beautiful thoughts and imagery to our water for several minutes. Then our Instructor collected a bit of the water from each of us. To our great surprise and delight, we were informed that the water would be taken back to Japan by Masahiro to the lab to be photographed. We were all elated with anticipation to see what beautiful water crystals our united thoughts of Love and Gratitude to the water would produce. Just about a week later, we received the photos, which were even more beautiful than expected. Thank you everyone for your beautiful intentions, which were so lovingly received by the water and generously and graciously photographed for us by the IHM staff in Japan.

Pictures of Water Crystal Formed by our Group Prayer
Our day culminated with the graduation ceremony in which each student was acknowledged with a certificate and license in a beautiful casing together with pictures of themselves taken with Dr. Emoto on the first day. In addition, gift bags were given out filled with some of Dr. Emoto's books, presentation materials and the Hado Water, which had been specially prepared for each student using the Hado Scan machine (using the pictures taken of them upon their arrival on the first day). Dr. Emoto shook hands with each student upon receiving their certificate as he wished them all the best in their work spreading the message of Love & Gratitude as a Hado Instructor. Dr. Emoto then graciously and patiently autographed the books for each student who wished to have his book autographed with a special message.
From closing ceremony
The last day was an optional seminar, but you would never know it by the attendance. Just about everyone stayed on to participate in this seminar facilitated by Mr. Hans Schindler and assisted by Dr. Peter Slane. As Mr. Schindler and Dr. Slane gave an excellent presentation on the principles of the machine and basic approach to using the machine, we squirmed in our seats eyeing the tables all set up with the Hado Scan machines waiting for us to experiment with them. There was a lot of excitement in the air and the long awaited moment had arrived. All the instructors were so courteous and allowed those needing to catch flights early or other transportation home, the first opportunity to use the machines. As they finished we each took our turn. Peter and Hans assisted the students as they took turns using the machine and seeing for themselves first hand, how it operates. We were able to use the machine on ourselves in the same manner as they would be used on clients by us in the future. This experience was extremely interesting and exciting, and the Hado Scan machine more than met our expectations. The room was buzzing with the exchange of information as many of the instructors asked questions and learned more about when and how they could obtain further training on the machine, as well as, how and when the machines would become available for purchase and use in their own practices. Hans and Peter were exceptionally kind, and stayed the entire day to instruct and assist us in the operation of this new fantastic device and answer all our questions. Finally, we had to give up our seats as the day and the seminar had come to an end, and it was time to go home.
